BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MRIDUL KUMAR KALITA ORDER 09.05.2026 This matter is put up before the National Lok Adalat. The appellant/claimant, namely, Sri Pinku Boro is personally present before the Lok Adalat, along with his engaged counsel Mr. J. Kalita. The insurance company is represented by Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Deputy Manager of the company. The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 2, Kamrup(M) has originally awarded a compensation amount of Rs. 80,350/- only, along with an interest @ prevailing to bank rate, however, now the parties have amicably arrived at agreed amount of Rs. 20,69,650/- in addition to the original awarded amount of Rs. 80,350/- before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 2, Kamrup(M), Guwahati. The Deputy Manager, New Indian Insurance Company Ltd. has submitted that the since the insurance company has already deposited the amount of Rs. 81,300/- before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 2, Kamrup(M), Guwahati.
Page No.# 3/3 Now in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the issuance company shall deposit the additional amount of Rs. 20,69,650/- before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 2, Kamrup(M), Guwahati within a period of 45 days from the date of this order. This appeal is, accordingly, disposed of.
