It is the contention of the petitioner that the Committee for regularisation of unauthorised occupation passed a resolution on 26.02.2018 recommending grant of 1 acre 10 guntas of land in favour of the petitioner in Sy.No.31 of Dasanapura Village, Kottageri Hobli, Kunigal Taluk, Tumakuru District. The Tahsildar, Kunigal Taluk issued a Public Notice under Rule 108 (D) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Rules calling for objection. Having found that there is no objection and having collected the kimmat at the hands of the petitioner, the Tahsildar proceeded to issue Sagvali chit on 07.11.2018. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8111 WP No. 698 of 2026 The grievance of the petitioner is that her name has not been entered in the revenue records. 3. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 – Tahasildar, Kunigal Taluk to consider the representations given by the petitioner at Annexures-D and E dated 02.12.2025 and 09.12.2025, verify the records and find out whether Smt.Sarojamma W/o Late. Chikkarangaiah was indeed granted the land. If it is found that the Committee had in fact regularised the land in favour of the petitioner, and Saguvali chit was issued in her name. The Tahsildar shall verify if kimmat was also paid as contended by the petitioner. After satisfying himself on all aspects, the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
