GP FOR HOME 2 The Court made the following ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief: “…issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 3rd respondent herein in calling the petitioner to the police station without there being any complaint or case registered as being illegal, arbitrary, unjust and unconstitutional and violative of Articles 21 and 22 of the Constitution of India, and consequently direct the 3rd respondent not to take any coercive steps without following the due process of Law…” 2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Smt S.V. Indira, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that respondents’ police have been continuously calling the petitioner to the police station without there being any complaint or case registered as illegal, arbitrary and subjecting him to harassment, which is violative of Articles 21 and 22 of the Constitution of India. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the police never called the petitioner to police station and subjecting him to harassment. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent No.3 not to call the petitioner to police station henceforth without any valid basis and without registering any crime against him. 3 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________________ Dr.Y.
