Nilesh Munda Vs. The State of West Bengal & ors.
Adv. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Adv. Sofia Nesar, Adv. Santanu Sett, … for the petitioner. Adv. Sk. Md. Galib, Adv. Kapil Guha, …for the State.
Heard learned counsels for the parties. The petitioner’s father went missing since 29th September, 2022 and has not been traced till date. It appears from the report submitted by the police that every possible step has been taken by the police for recovery of the missing person but in vain. The petitioner is satisfied with the progress in investigation and steps taken by the police authority in this regard. In view of the above, nothing further remains to be dealt with in this writ petition. The same is accordingly disposed of. However, it is expected that the police authority shall take further necessary steps for recovery of the petitioner’s father and intimate the petitioner of any progress in their search. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
2 Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
