Iqbal, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. L. Devi, learned counsel for the respondent. 2. This Interlocutory Application has been preferred seeking correction of certain errors that have crept into the order dated 14.03.2026 passed in the National Lok-Adalat in MAC Appeal No. 596/2024. 3. It is submitted that the entire amount of Rs.17,00,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakhs) only has been deposited and out of that an amount of Rs.9,70,000/- (Rupees nine lakhs seventy thousand) only is to be released in favour of the claimant No.1, i.e. wife of the deceased. However, in the aforesaid order it has been stated that the said amount is to be deposited in FDR in any Nationalised Bank/Post Office in favour of the claimant No.1 i.e. wife of the deceased and the remaining amount to the tune of Rs.9,90,800/- (Rupees nine lakhs ninety thousand eight hundred) only along with interest shall be released in favour of the claimant No.1. 4. It, therefore, appears that the last paragraph of the aforesaid order is to be modified by deleting the portion “to be deposited in FDR in any Nationalised Bank/Post Office in favour of the claimant No.1 i.e. wife of the deceased and the remaining amount to the tune of Rs.9,90,800/- (Rupees nine lakhs ninety thousand eight hundred) only along with interest”. Page No.# 4/4 5. Accordingly, the aforesaid words and lines from the last paragraph of the order dated 14.03.2026 stands deleted. 6. For the purpose of absolute clarification it is provided that the amount of Rs.9,70,000/- (Rupees nine lakhs seventy thousand) only already deposited by the Insurance company is to be released by the Registry to the claimant No.1, i.e. wife of the deceased. 7. This order shall be read as part of the order dated 14.03.2026. 8. Accordingly, this Interlocutory Application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
