ORDER Heard both sides. 2.The petitioner suffered an eviction order under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. The petitioner filed an appeal before the appellate authority under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. The only relief that is sought in this writ petition is that the appellate authority must speedily dispose of the appeal and that till then, the eviction process should be kept in abeyance. 3.No exception can be taken to said request. If the petitioner does not enjoy any interim protection during the pendency of the appeal, the 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.21923 of 2026 appeal will become infructuous. The petitioner cannot be deprived of her statutory remedy. Hence, we direct the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till then, the eviction order shall be kept in abeyance. 4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
