Pleader ORDER The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to rectify the defective entry in Patta No.7848 in respect of the property belonging to the petitioner in Survey No.793/2B, Rameswaram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, within a time framed. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Lakshmipathy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mrs.K.Porkodi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, she purchased the property from one Sudha Devi under a Sale Deed dated 13.06.2014. The revenue records stood in the name of the petitioner's vendor, Sudha Devi. Patta No.6669 was issued in the name of the petitioner's vendor, Sudha Devi, and the same is also reflected typed set of papers. After purchase, the petitioner got the revenue records mutated in her favour pursuant to the order passed by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar dated 15.05.2015. However, when the petitioner verified the digital 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.17713 of 2026 revenue records, she found that the patta had been issued in the name of one Alagar Swamy, son of Rakku Pillai. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.03.2023 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the said Alagar Swamy and issuance of patta in her name. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law. 5.In the light of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.03.2023 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the said Alagar Swamy, son of Rakku Pillai. 6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
