By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that the above-mentioned property is his ancestral property. The petitioner purchased the shares of the other co-sharers under a sale deed dated 10.01.2023 and, hence, he is the absolute owner of the property as on date. It is also stated that patta has been issued in the name of the petitioner in 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P(MD)No.22963 of 2026 Patta No.9186. However, there is an erroneous entry in the patta as if there is a “Nilaviyal Pathai” in the subject property. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent and the same was disposed of by the second respondent stating that correction in the “A” Register can be carried out only by the first respondent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent on 27.07.2026 seeking deletion/correction of the above-mentioned erroneous entry in the revenue records. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The order passed by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No. 8342/2025/A7 would indicate that the papers relating to the petitioner’s request were forwarded to the first respondent on
08.07.2026. 5.In the light of the same, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.07.2026 on merits and pass final orders in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties. 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
