(2) Petitioner claims to have been regularly appointed in Nagar Nigam, Haridwar, vide order dated 21.11.2023. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to pay the salary to the petitioner since November 2023 till date as per the order dated 21.11.2023 issued by the respondent no. 3 where in a pay band of Rs.5200-20200, grade pay of Rs 2000 was granted.” (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that even though petitioner is discharging duties in the Nagar Nigam regularly on a Group C post, however he is not being paid regular salary and only minimum of pay scale is being paid to him. (4) Learned Counsel for the Nagar Nigam, however, submits that the order of appointment, relied upon by the petitioner, is not available in the record of the Nagar Nigam. He submits that petitioner has secured appointment based on a fake order. (5) This Court is not inclined to go into the controversy raised by the parties in this writ petition. Having regard to the facts 2026:UHC:4296 and circumstances of the case, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation regarding regular salary. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken by the competent authority, as per law, within three months thereafter.
