ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner / sole accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 6(4) of the Tamil Nadu

of Distribution by Card System) Order, 1982 r/w Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in Crime No.124 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 09.05.2026, the petitioner had illegally transported 1,350 kgs of PDS rice. Hence, the complaint.
3. No doubt, the earlier application for anticipatory bail filed by the petitioner in Crl.O.P. (MD)No.13521 of 2026 was dismissed by this Court vide

CRL OP(MD). No.17034 of 2026 innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. 5. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the property has been recovered and that the petitioner is not having any previous cases. 6. Considering the nature of charges levelled against the petitioner and also the facts that the property has been recovered and that the petitioner is not having any previous cases, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner subject to the following conditions:

Accordingly, the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) to the credit of Government of Tamil Nadu, CMPRF in IOB, Secretariat Branch, Chennai-9 (Account No.11720 10000 00070, IFSC Code: IOBA0001172), without prejudice to his rights and contentions before the 3/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
CRL OP(MD). No.17034 of 2026 trial Court and produce the receipt / acknowledgment before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.3, Dindigul. 8. On production of such receipt / acknowledgment, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or his appearance, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.3, Dindigul, on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further conditions that: [a]the petitioner and the sureties shall affix their photographs and left thumb impression in the surety bond and the Magistrate may obtain a copy of their Aadhaar card or bank pass book to ensure their identity; [b]the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., for a period 4/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
