No.17384 of 2026 ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner / first accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 31.07.2026 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act r/w Section 77 of Juvenile Justice Act, in Crime No.224 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that on 31.07.2026, on receipt of secret information that ganja was being illegally sold, the respondent police proceeded to Veterinary Hospital at Rosalpatti and they found that the petitioner was in possession of 100 grams of Ganja and that the petitioner was arrested and the contraband was recovered. Hence, the complaint. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and that a false case has been foisted against him. The learned Counsel for State of TN (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the contraband seized is of small quantity. He would further submit that the petitioner is the seller and that the petitioner is having one previous case under the NDPS Act involving small quantity. 5. Considering the above facts and circumstances and also the facts that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 31.07.2026, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner subject to the following conditions: 6. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP(MD).
