Pleader 1/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22946 of 2026 ORDER The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to correct the entries relating to the property comprised in Survey No.160/1A, situated in Ambalakaranpatti Village, Melur Taluk, and classify the same as Natham land, based on the petitioner’s representations dated 18.07.2026 and 30.07.2026. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.Kannan Gurusamy, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.C.Deepak, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, an extent of 1.37 acres of land situated in Survey No.160/1A in Ambalakaranpatti Village was originally classified as Government Natham property. The petitioner’s mother purchased the said property under a sale deed dated 19.03.1991. It is further stated that the above-mentioned property has been wrongly classified in the revenue records as Panjami land. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 18.07.2026 before the respondents 1 and 2, seeking correction of the entry in the 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22946 of 2026 revenue records. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents would submit that the petitioner has not produced any document to show that the said land was earlier classified as Natham property. 5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, during the course of enquiry, the petitioner is ready to produce the documents to establish his case. 6.In the light of the above submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2026 on merits and pass final orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties. 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22946 of 2026 7.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
