1. Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and Hari Mohan Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
2. The instant writ petition has been filed for the following relief:-
"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2 to decide the Case No.- 1022 of 2026 Computerized Case No.-D202615060001022 (Shivpujan and Others Vs Grampanchayat) under Section 28 of Uttar Pradesh Land Revenue Act 1901 of U.P. Land Revenue Act 1901 within specific period."
3. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that proceeding under Section 28 of U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901 is pending before respondent no.2, Chief Revenue Officer, Division- Azamgarh, District Azamgarh in pursuance of the remand order dated 16.12.2025 passed by Additional Commissioner in revision. He further placed the order sheet of the pending proceeding in order to demonstrate that matter is not proceeding expeditiously.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue, the present petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to respondent no.2, Chief Revenue Officer, Division- Azamgarh, District Azamgarh to consider and decide the aforementioned proceeding in accordance with law Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Hari Prakash Tiwari Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Rameshwar Prasad Shukla Dashrath .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P.
