Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 10 months and other accused persons are absconding. At present, there is no possibility of the trial commencing in near future, as such, he may be released on bail. It has also been submitted that the petitioner is a B.Tech. Engineer, employed in a company and he was arrested from Haryana by the police authorities. Learned advocate for the State has drawn the attention of the Court to the statement of the wife of the deceased recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. Learned advocate for the de facto complainant has also 2 opposed the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the manner in which the life of the deceased was put to death. Having considered the heinousness of the offence, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM(M)2530 of 2025 is dismissed at this stage.
