The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the agricultural land measuring 17 cents in S.F. No. 222/1C1, situated at Nallipalayam Village, Tiruchengode Taluk, and has also obtained a joint patta for the said land. However, in the revenue records, the above said agricultural land has been erroneously classified as residential property. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a representation in the year 2025 requesting the removal of the entry classifying the said land as a residential portion. Respondents 1 and 2 also recommended that necessary action be taken in this regard. Following this, the petitioner submitted another representation dated 13.06.2026, seeking to delete the entry classifying the land as a residential portion and to reclassify it as agricultural land. In reply, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 13.06.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents 1 and 2 within a period of six weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 13.06.2026 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
