E.C.Ramesh, Standing Counsel for Chennai Corporation https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CONT P No. 2575 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This Contempt Petition is filed for violation of the order of this Court dated 25.08.2025 in W.P.No.32469 of 2025, wherein a direction was issued to the respondents to consider the petitioners’ representations dated 24.10.2024 and 26.06.2025 in the light of the recommendations made by the 1st respondent dated 26.02.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. The 3rd respondent pursuant to the aforesaid order of this Court passed orders dated 09.01.2026 rejecting the petitioners’ representation. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order has been passed in violation of the specific direction of the Court that orders on the representation have to be passed in the light of the recommendation of the 1st respondent dated 26.02.2024. 3.
