Mr.M.Sivavarthanan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up disposal at the stage of admission itself. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a notification under Section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997, was issued on 20.02.2026 for acquisition of subject land. Subsequently, the petitioner filed an objection dated 20.03.2026. However, the said objection was not at all considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this petition. 5. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for respondents would submit that in this case, subsequent to the issuance of Section 3(2) notification, the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 30699 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 6 enquiry was conducted, in which the petitioner had also participated. Further, he would submit that if they intend to issue subsequent notice under Section 3(1), they will certainly consider the objection filed by the petitioner. Hence, he requests this Court to pass appropriate orders. 6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record. 7. In the case on hand, a notification under Section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997, was issued on 20.02.2026 for acquisition of subject land, against which, the petitioner filed an objection dated 20.03.2026. According to the petitioner, the said objection was not at all considered by the respondents till date. 8. On the other hand, today, it was submitted by the respondents, subsequent to the issuance of Section 3(2) notification, enquiry was conducted, in which the petitioner had also participated. Further, they assured that the official respondents will certainly consider the petitioner’s objection, if they intend to issue any subsequent notice under Section 3(1) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 30699 of 2026 __________ Page5 of 6 9. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner’s objection and thereafter, proceed with the issuance of Section 3(1) Notification, if they intend to do so. 10. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
