The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action against the fourth respondent for constructing a septic tank in close proximity to the petitioner’s well and to prevent any possible contamination of the well. 3. The petitioner states that he is residing at No.154A, M. Kunnathur, K. Ayyampalayam Post, Pilikkalpalayam Village, Paramathi Vellore Taluk, Namakkal District, where he has a well in the property. According to the petitioner, the fourth respondent is constructing a septic tank in the adjoining land, which may result in contamination of the well. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered in accordance with Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019. 5. The learned State Counsel, on instructions, submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the second respondent in accordance with law within the time to be fixed by this Court. 6. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 08.07.2026 on its own merits and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
