For Petitioner : Mr.S.Balaji For Respondents : Mr.C.Deepak Additional Government Pleader 1/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.23382 of 2026 ORDER The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to survey the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.33/2, with an extent of 1 acre 25 cents situated at Udaiyatchi, Devakottai Town, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.07.2026. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Balaji, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Deepak, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, his father Muthukaruppan purchased the subject property under document dated 28.09.1959 and there is discrepancy in the extent of property mentioned in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 20.07.2026 before the official respondents seeking survey of the property and correction of the extent mentioned in the revenue records. The same has not been considered. Taking into consideration the said fact, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2026 and pass final order, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighboring land owners and other interested parties, if any. 6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
