Mr. Chitrarth Kandpal, learned Brief Holder, for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. In the High Court of Uttarakhand, the present case arises from Bail Application filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking regular bail for the Applicant – Gurmeet Singh @ Garry, who has been accused in FIR/Case Crime No.73 of 2026, under Sections 351 (2), 352 and 69 of BNS, at Police Station Raipur, District Dehradun. 4. As per the prosecution story that one Sonia (Gori), met Gurmeet Singh alias Gary S/o Nanak Singh, R/o House No. 1032, first floor, Sector 71, Mohali, Punjab, on June 9, 2023, at Guru Ji's Satsang. Gurmeet gradually became acquainted with me and began to show his devotion to Guru Ji, due to which I also began to talk to Gurmeet. In September 2023, Gurmeet came to Dehradun, contacted me by phone, and came to my house to meet him. I went to the kitchen to prepare tea and breakfast for him when he forcibly entered the kitchen and raped me. I tried to shout, but he held my mouth tightly. Seeing me crying, Gurmeet started to coax me and said that he would marry me, even after that he came to Dehradun and had relations with me and said that he would marry me and when I asked for marriage, I kept postponing it these days. And when I asked for marriage again, he came to Dehradun and said that if you keep asking me for marriage again and again, then I will kill you and your family. Applicant has raped me by giving me false promise of marriage. 5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Applicant submits that the Applicant has been falsely implicated in the present matter. He further submits that the Applicant has been languishing in jail since 18.03.2026. 6. Learned State Counsel has vehemently opposed the bail application of the Applicant. 7. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, the Applicant has made out a case for bail. 8. Accordingly, bail application is allowed. It is directed that the Applicant - Gurmeet Singh @ Garry, who has been accused in FIR/Case Crime No.73 of 2026, under Sections 351 (2), 352 and 69 of BNS, at Police Station Raipur, District Dehradun, be released on bail on furnishing a personal bond with two reliable sureties each in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned court.
