For Petitioner : Mr. O.R.Gokul Abimanyu O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to publish the petitioner's result and issue the Provisional Certificate, Consolidated Mark Sheet and Degree Certificate to the petitioner, who has successfully completed B.Tech. (Information Technology) in the third 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22642 of 2026 respondent College, bearing Registration No.96121205501, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court and further directing the respondents to pay suitable compensation to the petitioner for the alleged delay and the consequential loss of educational and employment opportunities, mental agony and financial hardship caused by their alleged arbitrary and negligent inaction. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the respondents is dispensed with and the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has successfully completed the B.Tech. (Information Technology) course in the third respondent College and has Registration No.96121205501. However, despite completion of the course, the petitioner's result has not been published and the Provisional Certificate, Consolidated Mark Sheet and Degree 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22642 of 2026 Certificate have not been issued. It is submitted that the delay in issuing the said documents is causing prejudice to the petitioner in pursuing further educational and employment opportunities. 5. The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the first and second respondents to publish the petitioner's result and if the petitioner has otherwise fulfilled all the requisite academic requirements, issue the Provisional Certificate, Consolidated Mark Sheet and Degree Certificate within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first and second respondents to consider the case of the petitioner, bearing Registration No.96121205501 and take necessary steps to publish the petitioner's result and issue the Provisional Certificate, Consolidated Mark Sheet and Degree Certificate, if the petitioner has successfully completed the B.Tech. (Information Technology) course and fulfilled all the requisite academic and other formalities.
