This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned notice issued by the third respondent under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, dated 16.07.2026, in respect of Survey No.438/1B, Kurungulam, Melpathi Village, Thanjavur Taluk and District, and quash the same as illegal. 2.Heard Mr.P.Ganapathi Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mahaboob Athiff, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

learned counsel appearing for the respective parties that the impugned proceedings is only a show cause notice issued under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would also submit that the petitioner has already submitted her explanation to the said notice before the competent authority. 4.In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petitioner is granted liberty to submit one more copy of her explanation, if so advised, before the competent authority. The petitioner is also at liberty to appear before the competent authority and participate in the enquiry and personal hearing, which shall be afforded to her, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
