The learned advocate appearing for the State files the report of the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Paschim Medinipur, which is taken on record. From the said report it appears that Plot No.16 within Mouza-Srinagar, J.L. No.27 under Police Station- Chandrakona was the subject matter of a proceeding being L.A. Case No.NH-77 of 2022-23 for the purpose of Kharagpur-Moregram Economic Corridor (NH-116A). Notification under Section 3(A) dated August 23, 2022 was issued and the paper publication under Section 3(A) was made on September 22, 2022. Declaration under Section 3(D) dated December 15, 2022 was made and award was declared by competent authority of the Land Acquisition under Section 3(G) dated December 31, 2024. The report further states that out of the 8 writ petitioners only award has been declared in the name of Barun Chowdhury, Rabindranath Chowdhury, Samaresh Chowdhury and Tarapada Chowdhury. 2 The Special Land Acquisition Officer is directed to communicate the copy of the report to the petitioners within 3 weeks from date. WPA 2609 of 2026 stands disposed of with the aforesaid observation and direction. In case the petitioners are aggrieved it will be open to the petitioners to work out their remedies in accordance with law. There will be no order as to costs.
