Side) Mr.B.Ramanathan (R3 to R5) Standing Counsel 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.Crl.(MD)No.4482 of 2026 O R D E R When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that as per the complaint made by the petitioner, the police seized the matter and as per earlier orders of this Court, the 8th respondent, during the investigation in Crime No.434 of 2026 added the following six persons as the accused in this case, who are mentioned as follows:- (1) Ganesan @ Selvaganesan, S/o.Murugan; (2) Kulathaivel, S/o.Madasamy (Wireman); (3) Chelladurai, S/o.Pandaaram (Foreman); (4) Nepolean, (AE); (5) Annaraj, (AEE); and (6) Vanaja, (EE). 2. The accused added report was prepared on 16.08.2026. However, that report was not sent to the Judicial Magistrate Court as of now. Even the addition of accused in the Crime No.434 of 2026 has not been recorded in the CD file as submitted by the 8th respondent. Hence, the 8th respondent is directed to send the accused added report to the jurisdictional Magistrate Court immediately, and also include the particulars of the investigation in which the accused added in Crime No. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.Crl.(MD)No.4482 of 2026 434 of 2026, in the case diary. The copy of the accused added report is filed before this Court for reference. 3. The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the respondents 7 and 8 to to take appropriate action against the officials and employees responsible for the negligence that resulted in the incident dated 09.07.2026 at Mathalamparai Village, Thenkasi Taluk, Thenkasi District. 4. On the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 11.07.2026, though there was a reluctant on the part of the police to register the case and belatedly the case was registered on 03.08.2026 as submitted by the prosecution, but the FIR was uploaded in the CCTNS portal only on 07.08.2026. Any how after the previous hearing date, there is some progress from the respondent police in which the respondent police added the accused in the Crime No.434 of 2026. 5. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that after registration of the FIR, as of now, 22 witnesses have been examined under Section 161(3) Cr.P.C., / 180 4/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.Crl.(MD)No.4482 of 2026 (3) of BNSS, to record the statement. It is therefore, the respondents 7 and 8 are directed to expedite the investigation and come up with a final report and file it before the jurisdictional police preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
