3. The innocuous prayer made by the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the respondent no.2 to consider the case of petitioner for regularization to the post of Driver within a stipulated time.
4. It is the case of petitioner that he was engaged as Driver vide order dated 02.02.2005 in the office of respondent no.4. Since then, petitioner is discharging his duties with due diligence, however, even after lapse of more than twenty years, his case has not been considered by the respondents for regularization. Petitioner has also cited a judgment rendered by this Court in WPSS No.573 of 2017, Sohan Lal v. Principal Secretary, which was a matter of similarly situated person. In the said case, the Court directed to consider the case of petitioner therein for regularization under the Regularization Rules, 2013. Similar prayer has been made in this writ petition as well.
5. The Court is convinced with the arguments advanced by learned Counsel for the petitioner.
6. The present petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to make a representation to the concerned respondent within a week from today. If such a

representation is so made, respondent no.2-Director, Women Empowerment and Child Development, Uttarakhand, Dehradun shall decide the same within eight weeks from the date of its receipt by passing a speaking and reasoned order strictly in accordance with law.
7. Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
