No.1835 of 2026 directed the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated payment of terminal benefits to the petitioner. 2. Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents/contemnors submitted that the respondents have paid total amount of Rs.8,69,711/-towards Commutation, Rs.1000/- towards Pongal Prize-2026 and Rs.1,03,508/- towards Commutation Interest as directed by this Court and accordingly, complied with the order passed by this Court. 3. In the light of the above, this Court is convinced that the respondents have complied with the order passed by this Court.
