The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Itki PS Case No.62 of 2025, for offence registered under section 317(5), 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and section 11(i) of Protection of Cruelty to Animal Act and section 12 (i)(ii)(iii) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Protection of Slaughter Act, pending in court of learned Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Ranchi. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the owners cum drivers of two different pick up vans and she submits that the allegations are made of carrying bovine animals in cruel manner. She next submits that the said bovine animals have been booked by another person. She further submits that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in para-9 of the petition. 4. Learned State counsel opposes prayer and submits that the allegations are there of carrying bovine animals in a cruel manner. 2026:JHHC:10574 -2- 5. Considering that the petitioners are the owners cum drivers of two different pick up vans and it has been pointed out that the bovine animals have been booked by another person and the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as aforesaid and in that view of the matter, both the petitioners, above named, are, hereby, directed to surrender before learned court within two weeks from today, and learned court shall release both the petitioners, above named, on such terms and conditions as well as sureties as the learned court may deem fit and proper. 6.
