The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has already deposited a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) before the learned Principal District Judge, Karur, in C.A.No.197 of 2025 and prays for an order of stay of the operation and all further proceedings of the judgment and decree dated 23.07.2025 passed in O.S.No.125 of 2022. 3. The learned counsel for the respondent/plaintiff submits that the petitioner may be directed to deposit 50% of the decree amount, along with proportionate interest and costs, after deducting the amount already deposited in C.A.No.197 of 2025. 4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is inclined to grant an interim stay till the disposal of the Appeal Suit in A.S.(MD)No.200 of 2026, subject to the following condition. Accordingly, an interim stay is granted till the disposal of the 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CMP(MD) NO. 5725 of 2026 Appeal Suit, on the condition that the petitioner shall deposit 50% of the decree amount, along with proportionate accrued interest and costs, after deducting the sum of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) already deposited, to the credit of O.S.No.125 of 2022 on the file of the Principal District Court, Karur, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which the stay granted shall stand vacated without any further reference to this Court. 5.
