2026:UHC:4251 SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPSS/1805/2023 Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Mr. Amar Murti Shukla, Advocate for the petitioner. 2. There is no representation for the respondents. 3. According to petitioner, he is serving as driver in Nagar Palika Parishad, Barkot, Uttarkashi, continuously since May, 2012 to the satisfaction of all concerned. It is further his contention that he is educationally qualified for regular appointment as driver, but, he is not being considered for regular appointment. Another grievance raised by petitioner is regarding non- grant of minimum pay scale. In this writ petition, petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus to the competent authority to pay him minimum pay scale for the post of driver. 4. Since petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus without making a formal demand before the competent authority, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation before the Executive Officer concerned. If he makes representation within two weeks, the competent authority shall look into the grievance raised by petitioner and take decision, as per law, within ten weeks thereafter.
