No.44 of 2026 records relating to the Police Verification Reports bearing PVR No. S5952500640376 dated 23.12.2025 and PVR No.S5952500640403 dated 25.12.2025 and quash the same and further directing the 3rd respondent to issue a fresh and correct Police Verification Certificate stating that no criminal case is pending against the petitioner based on the records and also direct the respondent to rectify, update and permanently correct the criminal database records in CCTNS, removing all false entries, quashed cases and disposed matters wrongly shown against the petitioner. WP.CRL.(MD). No.44 of 2026 of the Inspector of Police, Thirumangalam Police Station, to ascertain whether the petitioner has been shown as an accused in the Final Report filed in that criminal case. 3. Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner produced a certified copy of the Final Report in C.C.No.188 of 2026 which reveals that there are totally 16 accused.
The learned counsel further submitted that, as per the FIR, there were originally 22 accused, out of whom only 16 accused have been prosecuted and charge-sheeted in the Final Report. It was further submitted that the remaining six accused have not been included in the Final Report, and that the petitioner is one among the six persons who have been omitted from the Final Report. Therefore, no case is presently pending against the petitioner. 4. In view of the above circumstances, the learned counsel submitted that necessary directions may be issued to the third respondent to issue the Police Verification Certificate to the petitioner at the earliest, so as to enable the petitioner to obtain the post of Trustee under the applicable Government schemes. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that, although the petitioner’s name was initially included in the FIR, the Police, in the Final Report, have omitted his name, as he has not been arrayed as an accused in the said crime. Therefore, the Police are ready to issue the Police Verification Certificate to the petitioner at the earliest. 6. The said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) is recorded. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent to issue Police Verification Certificate within a week from today to enable the petitioner to obtain any Government job/placement.
