ORDER The above petition has been filed seeking extension of time to comply with the
order of this Court passed in CMP(MD)No.1677 of 2026 in CMA(MD)No.184 of 2026 dated 17.02.2026.
2. When the matter is taken up today, there is no representation for the fourth respondent.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.
4. It is seen from the records that this Court passed an order dated 17.02.2026 directing the petitioner to deposit 75% of the award amount along with proportionate accrued interest and costs to the credit of M.C.O.P.No.37 of 2019 on the file of the 2/3 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
CMP(MD)No.10266 of 2026 in CMA(MD)No.184 of 2026 Motor Accident Claims Tribunal / Additional District Court, Pudukkottai, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order, failing which, interim stay granted shall stand vacated automatically, without any further reference to this Court.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that due to administrative reasons, they could not obtain necessary approval from the higher officials for depositing the amount within the stipulated time and that therefore the above petition came to be filed seeking extension of time.
6. Considering the above facts and circumstances and taking note of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to extend the time to comply with the order of this Court dated 17.02.2026. Accordingly, one week time is granted for complying with the directions of this Court passed in CMP(MD)No.1677 of 2026 in CMA(MD)No.184 of 2026 dated 17.02.2026 from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such deposit, interim order dated 17.02.2026 shall stand revived.
