Pleader f 1/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22884 of 2026 ORDER The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to rectify the erroneous classification of the property situated in Survey No.486/3B as “Panchayat Union Road” in the revenue records of E.Muthagoundanur, Vedasandur Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 27.07.2026. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Harish, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.Porkodi Karnan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that the above-mentioned property was originally purchased by his father, Sellappan, under a sale deed dated 21.08.1985. He died on 09.12.2014. Thereafter, the property was inherited by his first wife, Rajeswari, the petitioner and his brother, Venkatesh. It is also stated that the petitioner purchased the shares of the other co-sharers and, hence, is entitled to the property absolutely. 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22884 of 2026 4.It is the further case of the petitioner that the above- mentioned property was wrongly classified as “Panchayat Union Road” during the UDR correction. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.07.2026 seeking deletion of the erroneous classification. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has come before this Court. 5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law. 6. In the light of the said submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 27.07.2026, conduct an enquiry, and pass final orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
