Advocate (Civil) 1/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22957 of 2026 ORDER The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to set aside Patta No.915 issued in the name of Silovam Evenesis Private Limited, by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 04.06.2026. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.A.Subramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Siva, learned Government Advocate (Civil) appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that an extent of 26.23 acres of land situated in Survey No.7/21 in Boolangudi Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, was originally assigned in the name of the petitioner’s father, Ammasi, on 11.07.1962. After the death of Ammasi, his legal representatives, including the petitioner, inherited the property. The property has been under the control and possession of the petitioner all along. It is further stated that, when the petitioner was away from his native place during the years 2014-2015, the patta in respect of the said property was transferred in the name of Silovam Evenesis Private Limited. Hence, 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.22957 of 2026 the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.06.2026 seeking cancellation of the said patta. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted without hearing the person in whose name the patta has been issued. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant the prayer sought for in the writ petition. However, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.06.2026 on merits and pass final orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing due notice to the petitioner, the person in whose name the patta stands as on date and other interested parties. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
