The case of the petitioner is that he had joined the services of the respondent Corporation as a Conductor and, after rendering 30 years of unblemished service, retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2018. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, though he had retired from service as early as 30.06.2018, his terminal benefits were settled belatedly only on 31.08.2019, contrary to the Pension Rules, and without https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8909 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 payment of any interest. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 14.02.2025, seeking interest for the belated settlement of the terminal benefits. However, the said representation has not been considered to date. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3. Heard the learned counsel on either side. 4. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2025 has not been considered to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
