ORDER The present petition has been filed seeking a direction as against the respondent police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the petitioners and the second respondent are partners in a transport business and the second respondent has issued a statutory notice under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act in a cheque bounce case and thereafter the present police complaint has been lodged to pressurize the petitioners herein through police officials to settle the said amount.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that the complaint was lodged on 27.07.2026 in CSR No.313 of 2026 and they would complete the enquiry within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. In case, if the police officials find that it is a money dispute between the parties, they shall not interfere in the said dispute. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
