Heard both sides. 2. The fifth respondent in these proceedings filed a suit in O.S. No. 22 of 2026 on the file of the District Munsif, Alangudi, for a bare injunction against the petitioners herein. In that suit, another application in I.A. No. 2 of 2026 was filed for the appointment of an Advocate Commissioner. Both the suit proceedings and the I.A. proceeding are pending, and the petitioners herein, who are defendants in the case, contesting the case. WP.Crl.(MD)No.4516 of 2026 petitioners have absolute possession, with the help of the police. The fifth respondent is also trying to close the access to the suit property. Until the suit is decided, the fifth respondent has no power to fence the property with the help of the police. 3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that, although the petitioners had approached the police, the police enquired into the matter and closed the case, as the civil case is pending and is the appropriate forum to determine the status of possession and title as alleged in the suit. Since the police enquiry has been closed, the parties are left to work out their remedy in the pending civil case. 4. Recording the submission, nothing survives in this petition.
