Hon’ble Shri Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey Order On Board 2 8.4.2026 1) By way of this petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs :- 10.1 To call for the records of the case for the kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court. 10.2 To issue an appropriate writ or order and direct the respondent authorities to release the medical bill amount of Rs.6,00,000/-with due interest immediately. 10.3 Any other relief deemed fit in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be granted. 2) Facts of present case are that at the relevant time, petitioner was posted as Head Constable at Police Station Pali, Korba. Father of petitioner, namely, Kartik Ram met with an accident and one of his legs had to be amputated. Petitioner spent a sum of Rs. 6 lakhs during the course of treatment and submitted medical bills for reimbursement before the department, which in turn sanctioned and disbursed only a meager sum of Rs. 72,594/-. 3) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner made a representation before Director General of Police, State of Chhattisgarh on 12.10.2020 but till date, same has not been considered and decided. He contends that a direction may be issued to the authority concerned to decide the pending representation expeditiously. 4) On the other hand, learned State counsel would oppose. 3 5) I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 6) Taking into consideration the limited prayer made by Mr. Patel, this petition is hereby being disposed directing Director General of Police, State of Chhattisgarh (respondent No. 2 herein) to decide the pending representation of the petitioner dated 12.10.2020 expeditiously, preferably within a period of 120 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 7) With the aforesaid direction, this petition stands disposed.
