Petitioner was not recommended for appointment by Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) on the ground that he had availed benefit of reservation made for ex-serviceman earlier. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the controversy has been decided by this Court in Writ Petition No. 491 of 2021 (SB). 4. The relief sought in the writ petition is as follows: “To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to recommend/consider the candidature of the petitioner for appointment on the group-C posts i.e. Data Entry Operator, Computer Assistant cum receptionist, Junior Assistant, Receptionist, Mate, Work Supervisor & House Inspector under the various department of State of Uttarakhand under Ex-Serviceman (General) Category pursuant to the advertisement dated 4.10.2024 (contained in Annexure no. 1, page no. 18 to 44).” 5. Having regard to the pleadings made and relief sought by petitioner, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met if petitioner is permitted to approach the Secretary, UKSSSC by making representation. 2026:UHC:4136 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make representation before Secretary, UKSSSC. If he makes representation within one week from today, decision thereupon shall be taken as per law, by passing a reasoned order within two weeks thereafter.
