According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the award issued to the petitioner is kept in abeyance inasmuch as, as per the original conditions, the substation work should be completed within 15 months from the date of award. However, there was a delay of 56 days, which is attributable on behalf of the respondents themselves on account of their earlier communication dated 23.05.2026 and the revocation letter dated 18.07.2026. If this period in between, namely 56 days is taken into account and is reduced from the actual time taken, then the petitioner had completed the work within the 15 months. When the said argument was made even on the last occasion, the learned Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that there can be no quarrel with the said prayer that is made, since it is innocuous because the said 56 days have to be reduced from the total time undertaken. 3. Since the said course is agreeable by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the terms that the period of 56 days between 23.05.2026 and 18.07.2026 shall be deducted from the actual time taken in establishing the substation and if the same is deducted, it is recorded with the same comes within the 15 months time https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.25489 of 2026 ____________ Page No.4 of 6 given and in view thereof, further progress can be made as per the original terms in respect of the petitioner and the transaction shall be completed and the petitioner unit shall be commissioned as per the due process.
