1. Mr. Gaurav Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs. Rangoli Purohit, learned Brief Holder for the State and Mr. Susheel Kumar, learned counsel for the respondent no.3.
2. The instant petition has been filed along with the Compounding Application (IA No.1 of 2026) with affidavit of the petitioner and the private respondent for quashing the FIR dated 14.04.2025 bearing FIR No. 156 of 2025, Police Station Ranipur, District Haridwar, wherein the petitioner has been implicated for the offences punishable under Sections 323 and 498A of the IPC.
3. It is contended in the Compounding Application that both the parties have settled their disputes and living together since January, 2026 and even the divorce petition, which was filed that has been withdrawn. Now their relations are cordial which is evident from their face.
4. In such view of the matter, since now both the parties have decided to live together, there is no useful purpose to go with the investigation pursuant to the impugned FIR.
5. Both the parties are present in person
2026:UHC:4014 and they are identified by their respective counsel.
6. Respondents State has no objection if the compounding application is allowed.
7. In such view of the matter, since now both the parties are living together, the writ petition and the compounding application are allowed. The impugned FIR No. 156 of 2025 is quashed.
