The petitioner-Student has approached this Court seeking direction to the respondent no.4-The Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Nagpur (for short, ‘the respondent no.4- Committee’) for expeditious disposal of his caste claim. 3. The caste claim of the petitioner towards ‘Mana’ Scheduled Tribe was submitted to the respondent no.4-Committee on 03.11.2025. 4. Shri N.D. Jambhule, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that till date, the aforesaid caste claim is not decided. In the meantime, the petitioner was admitted in the college run by the respondent no.1- Society in the First Year course of Automation and Robotics Engineering. The aforesaid admission was effected on 05.08.2026, which is at Record Page No.21, Annexure-1. A perusal of the aforesaid acknowledgment reveals that the petitioner was directed by the respondent nos.1 to 3 to submit his original caste validity certificate on or before the final reporting date of the 4th CAP round. The aforesaid acknowledgment further directs that the failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the admission. In the aforesaid backdrop, the petitioner has approached this Court by present petition. 2026:BHC-NAG:11678-DB 2 WP6835-26.odt 5. Shri A.R. Chutke, learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondent no.4-Committee, on instructions, submits that the respondent no.4-Committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of four months. 6. In view of above, the following order is passed:- I. The respondent no.4-Committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner towards ‘Mana’ Scheduled Tribe within the stipulated period of four months from today. II. The petitioner to co-operate with the respondent no.4- Committee in the expeditious disposal of his caste claim without seeking any unnecessary adjournments. III. The respondent nos.1 to 3 are directed not to insist upon the petitioner for submitting his caste validity certificate till such decision by the respondent no.4-Committee. IV. Needless to mention that the admission of the petitioner would be subject to the result of the validation proceedings as conducted by the respondent no.4-Committee. 7.
