With the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 2. The instant writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the Respondents to consider the case of the Petitioners for regularization in terms of the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Regularization of Services of Contract Employees Act, 2023 (for short, ‘Act 30 of 2023’) dated 20.10.2023. 3. It was submitted that the Petitioners were initially appointed as Government Lecturers in the Department of Mathematics, Engineering and Chemistry on contract basis in their respective colleges against the regular vacancies on full-time basis. The Government of Andhra Pradesh enacted Act 30 of 2023 providing regularization of services of persons appointed on contract basis on or before 02.06.2014, who are continuing in Government Departments among other parameters prescribed in Section 3 thereof. 3 4. Learned Government Pleader for services would submit that cases of persons similarly placed are also under consideration and an appropriate decision would be taken. 5. Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the Respondents to examine the case of the Petitioners for regularization of their service in terms of the Andhra Pradesh Regularization of Services of Contract Employees Act, 2023, within a period of eight (08) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
