The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was involved in an alleged theft at the defacto complainant's house. On 17.06.2026, at about 8.00 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 21860 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 p.m., while returning to her residence, the complainant found that the front door of her house had been broken open and the bureau ransacked. Upon inspection, she discovered that an unknown person had committed theft of cash amounting to Rs.44,500/-, 5 sovereigns of gold jewellery, and 940 grams of silver articles. Hence, the case. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for the grant of bail. 4. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that the petitioner has four previous cases, two of which are similar in nature and that 26 grams of gold were recovered from him, this Court is of the view that it is not an appropriate stage to enlarge the petitioner on bail. 7.
