The petitioner states that the elephant ivory embedded in an ancient palanquin at Sri Arulmigu Devarajaswamy Temple, Kancheepuram, was damaged by two individuals. The learned State Counsel submitted that, pursuant to the petitioner’s representation dated 19.04.2025, an enquiry has already been commenced and the same would be completed within the time to be stipulated by this Court. 4. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to complete the enquiry pursuant to the petitioner’s representation dated 19.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
