1. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the contention that the petitioner was initially appointed on 30.09.1976 and on attaining the age of superannuation, the petitioner has retired from service w.e.f. 30.04.2014, however, only on the pretext of pendency of departmental action and penalty order of deduction of 2% pension for one year, the pensionary benefits to the petitioner were delayed and the complete pension was released on 12.10.2018, whereas gratuity was paid to the petitioner on 30.10.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted so many representations with a prayer to grant interest on delayed payment of pension and gratuity to the petitioner, however, such representations have not been addressed so far. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would
[2026:RJ-JP:12214] (2 of 2) [CW-20609/2025] be satisfied in case, the respondents are directed to decide the representations earlier submitted by the petitioner.

In view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court deems it just and proper to grant liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the respondents for seeking redressal of his grievances with regard to payment of interest. In case, any such representation is made within a period of 15 days from today, same shall be decided by speaking order by the respondents within a period of 60 days thereafter.
4. Writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions.
