Crl. M.P. No. 15447 of 2026 O R D E R This petition has been filed seeking extension of time granted in para 7(b) of the order dated 11.02.2026 passed by this Court in Crl.A.No.88 of 2026, for depositing a sum of Rs.1,00,000/-. 2. The petitioner / accused in Spl.S.C.No.14 of 2025 was arrested and subsequently, this Court granted bail in Crl.A.No.88 of 2026. Condition No.7(b) was that the appellant shall deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- to the credit of Crime No.2 of 2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of his release and shall report before the respondent police every Tuesday and Sunday at 10.30 a.m., for a period of four months. It was further directed that one of the sureties shall a blood surety. Thereafter, the appellant filed a modification petition in Crl.M.P.No.9764 of 2026, in which the condition relating to the blood surety alone was deleted. 3. The petitioner, after coming out on bail, was unable to mobilise the funds and deposit the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period of four weeks. Crl. M.P. No. 15447 of 2026 on 07.08.2026, the petition was returned on the ground that the period of four weeks had expired on 06.08.2026 and that there was a delay of one day. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking extension of time. 4.
In view of the same, this Court finds the reason given by the petitioner is acceptable, particularly when there is only a delay of one day. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted two weeks time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to deposit the sum of Rs.1,00,000/-. 5. Time is accordingly extended by two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for depositing the aforesaid amount.
