For Petitioner: Mr.A.Damodaran For Respondents: Mr.R.Ganesh Kumar Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to transfer the investigation in Crime No.529 of 2018 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the fourth respondent. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the third respondent registered an FIR in Crime No.529 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 408, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 472 and 120B of IPC against the accused persons. Thereafter, the third respondent failed to proceed with the investigation. On instructions, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that, so far, the third respondent had secured four accused persons and examined 41 witnesses and their statements were recorded. He further submitted that the investigation would be completed within a period of eight weeks. Therefore, the third respondent is proceeding with the investigation in a proper manner and about to complete the investigation shortly. At this stage, transferring the investigation from the file of the third respondent to any other investigating agency would affect the entire investigation already conducted by the third respondent. 5. In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation being conducted by the third respondent and ensure that the direction issued by this Court is duly complied with by the third respondent. 6.
