ORDER This Criminal Original Petition seeks to quash the C.C.No.6292 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Coimbatore for the alleged offences under Sections 498(A) and 323 of IPC on the ground of compromise between the husband and wife, as they have now ironed out the differences and parting ways by filing a mutual consent.
2. The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in B.S. Joshi and others -Vs- State of Haryana and Another (2003 4 SCC 675) and subsequent judgments had held that non-compoundable cases arising out of marital discord can be quashed https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
