The petitioner challenges the proceedings dated 15.03.2023 rejecting approval of her appointment as Secondary Grade Teacher. The School, originally sanctioned with one Headmaster and two Secondary Grade Teachers, had one such post filled by one J. Diwan Isaac, whose appointment was later approved pursuant to the orders of this Court. Following his death on 09.11.2025, a vacancy arose and the School is now functioning with only the Headmaster. As a School cannot be permitted to function with a single teacher, the petitioner seeks approval of her appointment at least from 10.11.2025, which has not been considered by the respondents. 3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials available on record. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 30864 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 4. Though this writ petition has been filed for the aforementioned relief, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to reconsider the petitioner’s request for approval of her appointment, considering the fact that the sole Secondary Grade Teacher who was occupying the sanctioned post had passed away on 09.11.2025. In the light of the subsequent events, the first respondent is directed to reconsider the claim of the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The management shall also forward a fresh proposal seeking approval to the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher with effect from 10.11.2025. 5. With the above observation and directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
