The first petitioner is the sister and the second petitioner is the brother of respondents 3 and 4. The grievance of the petitioners is that they submitted an https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 15241 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 application dated 18.11.2025 under Sections 21 and 22 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, read with Rule 20 of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, seeking protection of their lives and property. However, the first respondent has not yet taken any decision on the application. 3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submits that the application submitted by the petitioners will be considered in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. 4. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the application dated 18.11.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to respondents 3 and 4, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The connected miscellaneous petition is ordered subject to payment of separate court fee, if not already paid.
